Typical Tourist Day

The temperature is dropping here in South Africa. Today, we were at 40 F, and tomorrow it should be closer to 35 F. I'm hoping for snow at one of the last three games we have, but of course Ashley is not.

Today we did a bus tour of Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa. Pictures in the gallery below. Our favorite part was stopping at the Rosebank Mall in Jozi (Johannesburg). There was a huge African craft market, where we found tons of touristy stuff, but also ended up getting two Bafana Bafana jerseys - Bafana Bafana is the nickname for the South African soccer team, meaning "the boys, the boys" - for a very reasonable price. For the price of one jersey at the FIFA fan store, we got two, and in our sizes. Then we came back and watched Portugal vs. Cote d'Ivoire and Brazil vs. North Korea. Both were good games, but you have to like what North Korea did, gutting out a 2-1 loss to Brazil. Is it wrong to like their soccer team as an American?
